The Estates Supervisor is responsible for Hard Facilities Management (FM) services and subcontracted services at NMGH. They will ensure all buildings, plant & infrastructure are maintained safely and cost-effectively within statutory requirements, aligning with NHS and Trust policies.
The role involves managing work programs, compliance, Health & Safety legislation, and collaborating with the Energy & Sustainability team to optimize energy and utility use. The supervisor will deputize for the Estates Manager/Officer as needed.
The ideal candidate should have a mechanical bias, with proven experience managing change within a growing hospital site, leading large teams, and implementing HR strategies. They should be capable of empowering and coaching staff throughout their employment lifecycle.
Main responsibilities include ensuring statutory compliance through testing, validation, certification, and registration of estate requirements, either in-house or via subcontractors. The role also involves acting as a site Authorised Person in various disciplines, maintaining compliance registers, supporting audits, and reviewing maintenance programs for safety, environmental, and technical quality.
