- Ensure food premises infrastructure (e.g. walls, floors, ceilings, and equipment) is compliant with food hygiene standards.
- Support the Food Safety team in responding to EHO audits, internal inspections, and action tracking.
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Work closely with an external Health & Safety subcontractor to ensure all sites meet regulatory and company standards.
- Oversee the completion of all identified H&S actions across the estate, ensuring timely and documented resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including fire safety, gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene (Legionella), and structural safety.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance records and lead periodic property risk assessments and audits.
Capex Projects & Site Development
- Support delivery of refurbishments, fit-outs, and new site openings in partnership with project and operations teams.
- Help define scopes of work, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate contractors and consultants on-site.
Lease & Property Asset Management
- Support lease management activities including rent reviews, renewals, dilapidations, and landlord liaison.
- Maintain a centralised property database tracking key lease terms, dates, and obligations.
Budget & Reporting
- Manage estates, maintenance, pest control, and H&S-related budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value.
- Provide regular reporting on compliance status, maintenance KPIs, and project progress to the senior team.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an estates or facilities management role within hospitality, leisure, or retail sectors.
- Strong understanding of building and food safety compliance, pest control, and H&S legislation.
- Experience working with Health & Safety consultants and tracking remedial actions to completion.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills across multiple sites.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience managing contractors and budgets.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites as needed.
Desirable Qualifications
- NEBOSH or IOSH Health & Safety certification.
- Level 2 or 3 Food Safety qualification (desirable).
