A leading healthcare provider in Dorset is seeking an experienced Estates Maintenance Mechanical Technical Specialist. Dorset Healthcare Estates and Facilities Directorate are seeking a conscientious and self-motivated Estates Maintenance Mechanical Technical Specialist.
The team, based in Wareham, provides pre-planned maintenance and repair services across various Trust premises in Dorset, including Community Hospitals, Health Centres, Mental Health Units, and Administrative Buildings.
Working collaboratively with building, electrical operational teams, Estates Leadership, Compliance, and Minor New Works teams, the specialist will apply installation, maintenance, technical diagnosis, and fault-finding skills to a range of equipment.
This role is varied, physically demanding, and challenging. Candidates should have previous experience in a demanding maintenance environment and be flexible in their approach.
A professional development program is available to support progression towards a Competent Person qualification in one or more mechanical disciplines.
The position offers an on-call allowance of 4.5%, a R&R payment of £3500, NHS pension, 27 days leave plus bank holidays, flexible working, overtime at premium rates, a tracked vehicle for business use, workwear, and PPE.
