Job summary

Champneys Eastwell Manor is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant with strong painting and decorating skills to join our team. You will help maintain the visual and functional quality of our estate, both inside and out, working alongside the Maintenance Manager on planned and reactive tasks.

This role prioritizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning general maintenance, painting, decorating, and basic building tasks while ensuring health and safety

Qualifications

• Strong painting and decorating experience essential.
• Good all-round maintenance knowledge including basic building, plumbing or electrical work.
• Practical, adaptable approach with varied tasks.
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• NVQ/City & Guilds, Health & Safety qualifications desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the property.
• Take ownership of painting, decorating and finishing tasks to a high standard.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance to minimise disruption to guests.
• Maintain interior and exterior building fabric, ensuring spaces are safe and attractive.
• Support repairs across plumbing, basic electrical, and building works.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and hazard reporting.
• Complete required training and support wider team activities.
