Job summary

The Dean Trust is seeking an Estates Operative to support the daily running of its campuses. Based mainly at Lord Derby Hub and Park View Academy, with occasional duties at Blacklow Brown Primary, you will perform keyholding, basic maintenance, and compliance logging on digital tablets, providing first-line support to pupils and staff.

Start is as soon as possible; visa sponsorship is not available. The role involves hands-on site work across multiple premises to ensure safe and secure

Responsibilities

• Act as designated keyholder, unlocking and locking buildings and gates to keep sites secure
• Control access for external contractors, including sign-in, site rules and safeguarding checks
• Support premises emergencies, out-of-hours intruder and fire alarm activations, and adverse weather response
• Carry out basic routine DIY and minor maintenance across sites
• Keep external areas, playgrounds and pathways safe, clear of litter and hazards, including gritting and snow clearance
• Provide operational cover, emergency response or maintenance at Park View Academy or Lord Derby Academy Hub as directed by the Estate Manager
• Carry out porterage and basic statutory health and safety checks
• Log routine compliance tasks on Trust-provided digital tablets
• Act as first-line support for pupils and colleagues
