Job description

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for maintaining safe and welcoming facilities? Join our Estates team as an Estates Assistant and play a vital role in ensuring our premises remain secure, functional, and well-maintained.


Reporting to the Head of Estates and Facilities, you will assist with a range of maintenance and operational tasks, including:


  1. Supporting site operations with portering duties (e.g., moving furniture and equipment).
  2. Conducting minor repairs (e.g., redecorating, plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains).
  3. Performing planned preventative maintenance and emergency cleaning.
  4. Maintaining grounds, including litter picking and gardening tasks.
  5. Acting as a fire marshal during evacuations.

We’re looking for someone who:

  1. Has experience in building maintenance, ideally in a caretaker or handyperson role.
  2. Possesses an eye for detail and strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  3. Is comfortable recording information on worksheets and computer systems.
  4. Works effectively as part of a team and understands the importance of health and safety in a customer-focused environment.

This is a permanent post to commence as soon as possible. Any job offer is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
