Job summary

City of London Corporation is seeking a Resident Services Officer to deliver a high-quality housing management service across estates. You will work with tenants and homeowners, handle tenancy matters, and promote resident involvement while safeguarding residents and coordinating with partner agencies.

You will manage sensitive cases, respond to enquiries, and collaborate with colleagues to cover void properties and ensure compliance with housing regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification such as a CIH qualification, or substantial professional experience in housing management.
• Good knowledge of housing law and regulation within a social housing environment.
• Experience applying housing management principles in practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality housing management service to tenants and homeowners, responding to queries and service requests.
• Manage tenancy matters including sign-ups, introductory visits, audits, exchanges, succession, assignments and terminations.
• Investigate and resolve breaches of tenancy or lease with accurate case records.
• Investigate anti-social behaviour, nuisance and neighbour disputes with partners to achieve outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with residents and residents’ groups to encourage involvement.
• Collaborate to manage void properties, including inspections and sign-ups.
• Recognise safeguarding and support needs and refer to partner agencies as required.
• Respond to complaints and Members’ enquiries professionally.
• Support the Customer Service Officer post where applicable, with supervision.
