Job summary

Southern Housing in Croydon is seeking a team member to support estate services, undertaking a wide range of duties including minor internal and external property repairs, and supporting cleaning and gardening teams to keep communal areas well maintained. Tools and PPE provided, uniform and safety boots supplied, ability to undertake physically demanding work.

You will work from local estates and hubs across our area of operation, be a point of contact for residents, report repairs, perform

Qualifications

• DBS check required.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
• Use cleaning equipment and basic tools as directed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure communal areas are clean and well maintained.
• Carry out spot cleaning: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, litter picking.
• Sweep, disinfect and tidy refuse chutes, bins and bin areas.
• Use machinery (jet washers, steam cleaners) for deep cleaning when required.
• Carry out minor repairs as directed by the Estate Services Manager.
• Report repairs or defects to maintenance and follow up actions.
• Carry out tests/inspections and submit detailed reports when requested.
• Provide cover for colleagues and be a point of contact for residents.
