Job summary

Croydon Council is recruiting an Estates and Environmental Services Team Manager to lead caretakers, handypersons and bulk refuse staff in Croydon. You will deliver a high-quality, customer-focused estate service, ensuring estates are clean, safe and well‑maintained.

The role requires strong leadership, health and safety knowledge, and the ability to drive improvements while working with residents and partners. This is a permanent, full‑time position based in Croydon.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to caretaking, estates and environmental cleanliness.
• Experience managing teams in housing, caretaking or environmental services.
• Strong knowledge of estate compliance and health and safety.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver service improvements and value for money.

• Lead and motivate a team delivering frontline estate services.
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with health and safety.
• Monitor performance and drive service improvements.
