Job summary

Rendall & Rittner in London is seeking an Estate Operative to help keep Colindale Gardens running smoothly. You will clean, manage waste, perform basic maintenance, and care for outdoor spaces to ensure communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming for residents.

The role supports the on-site team at a busy residential development, with Monday–Friday hours and occasional Saturday shifts. DBS check, pension and holiday benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in estate operative, caretaker, facilities or housekeeping.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, tools and machinery, including safe chemical use.
• Basic DIY skills for small repairs and ability to report larger faults.
• Experience managing waste and recycling on busy sites.
• Comfort with checklists, logs and handheld devices to record tasks.

Responsibilities

• Guard estate standards on the ground, keeping communal areas spotless, safe and well presented.
• Carry out routine cleaning, waste management, basic maintenance and grounds care.
• Log issues, report and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Support on-site team with deliveries, contractor access and estate inspections.
• Maintain external areas, litter picking and basic grounds tasks.
• Complete daily checklists and keep accurate records.
