Join Essex Police as a PCSO

Do you want to help make a real difference in the communities of Essex? As a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), you'll work closely with communities to promote safety and confidence. Your role involves collaborating with police officers, special constables, and partner agencies to gather information and intelligence on criminal activity and vulnerabilities.

Salary and Working Hours

Starting salary: £26,106, with annual increments up to £31,293. The role is full-time, with a 37-hour week, including a 6 on 3 off shift pattern covering 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week. A 12.5% shift allowance and weekend enhancements are payable.

Eligibility

This post is open to British Citizens, EEA nationals, Commonwealth citizens, and foreign nationals. Applicants must reside in the UK with indefinite leave to remain and have lived continuously in the UK for the past three years, unless serving in the British Army or conducting government work.
