ESS Employment Ltd is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Engineer for a Stroud site. This permanent role covers 24 hours per week across three 8-hour days with flexible start times.

The successful candidate will fault-find electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery, perform preventive maintenance, service conveyors, pumps and cooling systems, and maintain accurate records while working with minimal supervision.

Formación

• Recognised Level 3 electrical qualification and industrial fault-finding experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills and ability to work independently.
• Good health and safety awareness and decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery and equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, compressors and cooling systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Identify building and facilities maintenance needs and arrange contractors.
• Prioritise maintenance requests and follow through to completion.

Vacancy Part-Time Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company looking for an experienced, practical Maintenance Engineer to keep our machinery, equipment and facilities running safely and reliably.

This is an exciting opportunity offering varied, hands-on, the opportunity to work independently, solve problems and take ownership of day-to-day maintenance

Main responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery and equipment, within your competence.
• Maintain ancillary equipment, including conveyors, pumps, compressors and cooling systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections and equipment checks, keeping accurate records.
• Identify building and facilities maintenance needs and arrange specialist contractors where required.
• Prioritise maintenance requests and see repairs and outstanding issues through to completion.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

• A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Practical industrial electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to work independently.
• A sound understanding of health and safety and when specialist assistance is needed.

Desirable

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience with injection moulding machinery, hydraulics or pneumatics.

Part-time Hours and Benefits

• A permanent, part-time position working three 8-hour days each week. Working days and start and finish times are flexible by agreement.
• 25 days’ annual holiday (pro rata) and a healthcare plan after six months.
