Job summary

ESS Employment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator in Stroud. The role involves operating and setting sliding head machines, using Fanuk, Siemens and Mazatrol controls, to produce complex components to exacting standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience programming/setting sliding head machines and knowledge of Fanuc controls, with keen attention to detail and strong reading of engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience programming/setting sliding head machines.

Responsibilities

• Set and/or operate various CNC machines; monitor the machining process to ensure parts meet high quality standards.
• Load, adjust and program machines as required; ensure on-time production output.
• Maintain accuracy by working within tight tolerances and QA processes.

ESS Employment Ltd is looking for a CNC Sliding Head Setter and Operator. Operating and setting using Fanuk, Siemens & Mazatrol control panels. You will be required to set and/or operate various CNC machines, monitoring the machining process to ensure the finished parts are to a high standard.

The ideal CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator will have previous experience programming/setting sliding head machines, possess experience and knowledge of Fanuc and have a good attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to work on complex manufactured components.

Essential requirements

• Precision engineering to tight tolerances
• Star and Citizen sliding head programming experience would be a significant benefit
• Proven experience as a CNC Lathe/Setter/Operator/Miller/Turner
• Mechanical engineering
• Reading engineering drawings
• Operating/loading machinery
• Working within an engineering environment
• Supply to high profile customers in various sectors
• Experience of operating and setting a sliding head machine
• Ability to set intricate parts for milling
• Flexible and adaptable to be able to complete all tasks with accuracy, and within fine tolerances
• Experience with either Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol is essential
• Experience of precision components is highly desirable
