Job summary

Leeds City College is recruiting for an ESOL teacher to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis until July 2027. Experience teaching adult ESOL in further education is essential, with EFL or pre-sessional experience not suitable.

Based at the Enfield Centre, classes run Monday to Thursday 09:30–21:00 and Friday 09:30–15:00, with two evenings per week totaling 7.4 hours. The pro rata salary starts at £31,916 and progresses to £35,912 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching adult ESOL in FE is essential.
• EFL and sessional experience is not suitable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
• Develop the essential knowledge and understanding to teach ESOL learners.
• Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
• Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
