Reference: JAN20256920

Expiry date: 23:59, Mon, 17th Feb 2025

Location: Banbury

Benefits: Competitive holiday, excellent pension, fantastic onsite facilities

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring casual ESOL teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty based at our Banbury & Bicester campus. The Lifeskills team work to support learners who face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs, asylum seekers and refugees.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. The post holder will predominately be teaching on our Adult and Foundation 16-19 ESOL courses.

This is a casual role, working 6 hours per week (Tues & Thurs evenings, term-time only) based at our Banbury & Bicester College campus.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

Successful candidates will have an ESOL teaching qualification (CertTESOL/DipTESOL/CELTA/DELTA). While we would prefer applications from experienced teachers who hold a PGCE or degree, we would consider applications from applicants with little or no teaching experience who have the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a PGCE or equivalent Post Compulsory Education Level 5 qualification.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
