Job summary

Oldham Lifelong Learning Service is seeking an ESOL Programme Leader to support the Curriculum Manager in delivering ESOL across all Lifelong Learning centres. The role involves overseeing teaching hours, supporting part-time staff, and ensuring budgets within the curriculum are managed effectively.

The post requires Level 4/5 ESOL specialism, suitable teaching qualifications, ICT skills and experience in the Post-19 sector.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualification at level 4 (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, B.E).
• Minimum of Level 4/5 ESOL subject specialism qualification.
• Qualified to level 4/5 in a relevant subject specialism area and/or willing to achieve within 2 years.
• Teaching experience in a curriculum area relevant to the post.

Responsibilities

• Assist Curriculum Manager to develop, deliver and monitor ESOL across the Service.
• Assist in management and support of part-time teaching staff; deliver contracted teaching hours; manage budgets within the curriculum.
• Contribute to planning and reviewing Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan.
