Key Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE ESOL/Functional Skills ESOL to learners from Entry Level to Level 2 within the college.
• Develop lesson plans to cover the full duration of each lesson.
• Deliver lessons effectively using various teaching styles depending on the content.
• Create an engaging and lively classroom environment.
• Instruct students on the structure and content of the ESOL language.
• Teach spelling, meanings of words, and pronunciation.
• Emphasize grammar, sentence construction, and composition rules.
• Encourage critical thinking about literature, poetry, media reports, advertisements, and news reports.

Skills & Experience

• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS (dated within the last 3 months or on the update service).
• A UK-recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques and ESOL topics.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Experience in delivering ESOL courses.
