The vacancy

Are you passionate about empowering learners through language? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated ESOL Lecturer to join our English, Maths & ESOL team. You’ll play a key role in supporting both young people and adults to develop their English language and basic maths skills, helping them thrive in life and work in the UK.

This vacancy is working 30 hours per week over four days and a Fixed term (Up to 12 months) - Maternity Cover.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • A minimum of Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
  • A Level 5 or higher academic qualification
  • Experience delivering ESOL programmes to 16–18s and adults
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging ESOL and basic maths lessons to diverse learner groups
  • Create innovative and inclusive learning materials and schemes of work
  • Monitor and support student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to enhance learner experience
