Newcastle College is looking for an enthusiastic ESOL Instructor to support adult learners in improving their English skills. The instructor will employ various teaching methods, develop resources, and collaborate with the ESOL team to enhance student achievement. Flexibility is necessary as some evening hours may be required.
Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Instructor in ESOL to join their team. The successful candidate will work with adult ESOL learners across various classrooms, including computer labs at Riverside Dene, supporting learners to improve their English skills through active involvement and monitoring.
The main responsibilities include:
The candidate must hold a CELTA or an equivalent Trinity CERT in ESOL. They should be confident using computers to support students, with experience in Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Office suite. Strong self-management, deadline adherence, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
The role may require evening hours. The candidate must be available to work on Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Friday mornings. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, 10th July 2025, at Riverside Dene Campus.
