Job summary

Hillmorton High School in Christchurch is seeking an experienced ESOL teacher to join our diverse, coeducational environment. Starting January 2027, this part-time, permanent role supports high-quality ESOL teaching within our ESOL programme.

The successful applicant will teach ESOL across year levels and proficiency stages, with preference for NCEA EL teaching, TESOL/ESL qualifications, and collaboration in a department team.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESOL teaching across year levels and proficiency stages.
• Experience with NCEA EL teaching preferred.
• Specialist TESOL/ESL qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a departmental team.
• Commitment to culturally responsive and relational pedagogy.
