SLR’s European-based international Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) team has a growing portfolio of projects across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa. We are seeking a French-speaking ESIA Project Manager with expertise in international ESIA and ESDD, including projects in power, mining, and infrastructure sectors.

The role can be based in any of our UK or France offices.

What will you be doing?

The successful candidate will work closely with our international team to secure and manage large ESIA contracts on projects in emerging economies. This will involve regular travel, coordinating technical specialists, and leading the development of proposals and technical reports.

What you will need

Ideal candidates will have consultancy experience managing large ESIA studies, preferably in power, mining, or infrastructure sectors. Essential requirements include:

• Client relationship management skills and experience in winning and delivering projects, with advantageous familiarity with IFIs (e.g., EBRD, KfW, IFC) and financial sector clients.
• Fluent French (C1 minimum) and excellent English language skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing client contacts and bids.
• Knowledge of international ESIA standards, including World Bank E&S Standards, IFC Performance Standards, EBRD E&S Requirements, and the Equator Principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
