About the role
The ESG Reporting Manager to join our Sustainability team, based in Bankside. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of ESG reporting activities, ensuring all submissions are accurate and delivered on time to meet stakeholder and regulatory expectations. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to manage investor ratings and indices programmes —including DJSI, CDP, MSCI, and Sustainalytics—coordinate robust data collection, conduct research, and oversee completion of all relevant submissions.
This is a senior-level position that offers you the chance to shape strategic direction and drive meaningful change throughout the organization. It requires a high degree of expertise , leadership, and the confidence to collaborate with executives and senior stakeholders in a variety of business functions.
The position reports to the Sustainability Programme Director.
Key responsibilities
Maintain up to date knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and trends.
Communicate clearly to key stakeholders , including executives , the changes and implications for Haleon .
Set up and manage a reporting framework and annual plan for the business covering all relevant and upcoming reporting obligations .
Support ESG reporting in Haleon’s Annual Report and Responsible Business reports and other ESG disclosures.
Lead the delivery of ESG ratings and indices submissions. Build relationship with ratings agencies and expert knowledge on how to meet the requirements, ensuring the business is informed of how to improve its ESG performance .
Coordinate the gathering of data and information across the business to support any internal and external ESG reporting.
Build good working relationships with relevant teams including but not limited to HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Risk, Procurement, and EHS.
Monitor data completeness and quality - identifying priority areas for improvement and working alongside the relevant teams to ensure these priorities are addressed .
Plan how to efficiently streamline/integrate reporting and identify opportunities for connectivity with financial reporting, whilst meeting all relevant obligation s.
Respond to key external benchmarking and rating questionnaires.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
4 + years’ experience in ESG reporting in a listed business, preferably a large global corporate or in an advisory firm.
Knowledge of the rapidly changing landscape of ESG reporting requirements and a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive changes needed to meet these requirements.
Understanding of data challenges and ability to identify issues around data quality and working with colleagues for resolution.
Experience in i dentify ing and action ing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency
Independent, self-starter and collaborative .
Stakeholder management and influencing skills to engage different areas of the business .
Preferred
Thrive in a fast-paced work environment .
Understanding of governance and control requirements around external reporting.
Proven track record of managing disclosures and ESG indices such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, DJSI and CDP.
Deep understanding of ESG disclosure trends and best practice.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present, explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision-making.
Strong attention to detail and p roject management experience .
