Job Description

ESG REC are working exclusively with a leading EV charging company who are looking to recruit an ESG Manager who will make a significant impact in the company by leading and implementing plans on their path to greater sustainability and social responsibility.

With significant investment and growth plans this is an amazing opportunity for you to join a company where you can take ownership and drive the direction of their ESG initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute accurate ESG reporting, tracking progress to industry standards.
  • Calculate carbon footprint and produce annual reports aligned with sustainability benchmarks.
  • Guide the development of a comprehensive carbon reduction strategy with clear, measurable targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement audit-proof reporting and secure key ESG certifications (e.g., ISO14001).
  • Drive continuous improvement in ESG processes for greater efficiency and impact.
  • Lead social value reporting and foster strong partnerships with stakeholders, suppliers, and clients.
  • Engage the supply chain in promoting sustainability best practices.
  • Champion local social value initiatives to strengthen community ties.
  • Integrate ESG metrics into business strategies and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate sustainability efforts to stakeholders, building meaningful relationships with investors, employees, and communities.
  • Manage energy and carbon emission KPIs, tracking progress towards Net Zero goals.

Qualification:

  • Relevant degree or certifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in ESG reporting and strategy, ideally within technology, infrastructure, or engineering industries.
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting frameworks and ESG regulations, with hands-on experience in managing ISO 14001 audits.
  • Strong people skills and previous experience liaising with C-suite executives and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess sustainability risks and develop actionable plans for continuous improvement.
  • Highly driven, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
  • An authentic passion for driving positive social and environmental change, minimising environmental impact, and promoting sustainability.

Location:

This role is hybrid working, with 2 days in the London office.
