Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking a Senior ESG Data Operations Analyst to ensure ESG investment data is accurate, timely, and available across the organization worldwide. This role supports regulatory compliance, product development, stewardship, and marketing by managing data operations, controls and exception processes.

You will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, use SQL and Python to analyze large datasets, resolve data quality issues, and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment operations or financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ESG data, market data or related data management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage complex issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of data governance or data stewardship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, validate, manage and distribute ESG investment data and related analytics.
• Investigate and resolve complex data quality issues, workflow exceptions and stakeholder inquiries.
• Use SQL, Python and other data tools to analyse large datasets and automate tasks.
• Build and maintain relationships with ESG data consumers, business stakeholders and data suppliers.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, risk management and control improvements.
• Contribute to data governance, metadata management and platform enhancements.
