The Sustainable Finance Research team of ISS-Corporate is seeking a consultant to join its team based in London immediately. This unit provides critical sustainability opinions on Green, Social, and Sustainability-Linked Bonds and offers training to various Debt Capital Market stakeholders to advance their ESG strategies. The role offers in-depth exposure to environmental and social topics and engagement with diverse stakeholders driving sustainable finance development. The successful candidate will work independently, contribute to product and methodology development, and support the business's growth. Candidates should have a passion for sustainability, thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and possess strong analytical skills. Daily interactions will include colleagues worldwide and global clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead and support second-party opinion (SPO) and external review projects, conducting ESG analysis of Green, Social, and Sustainability-Linked Bonds, assessing issuer strategies, managing client relationships, and producing reports.
2. Contribute to product and methodology development.
3. Assist the Sales team with technical inquiries.
4. Create content related to Sustainable Bonds.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability/ESG consulting, environmental/climate consulting, or capital markets.
2. Advanced degree in environmental science, law, engineering, finance, economics, or international relations.
3. Interest and knowledge in sustainability, Green & Social Bonds, sustainable finance, or corporate sustainability strategies.
4. Experience with sustainable finance regulations and taxonomies (EU Taxonomy, CBI, EU Green Bond Standard, CSRD) is advantageous.
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong project management and organizational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines in multi-stakeholder projects.
7. Fluent in English and German, both spoken and written.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
9. Experience in client-facing roles is a plus.
10. Eagerness to work in a multicultural, collaborative, and innovative team across locations.
