Job summary

A leading sustainability consultancy in the UK is seeking an ESG Consultant for a contract role of 6-12 months. You'll support a public sector client in delivering on ESG commitments, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement. The ideal candidate has experience in ESG frameworks and excellent stakeholder management skills. This position offers a competitive rate of £300 - £350 per day.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs).
• Background in public sector or consultancy projects preferred.

PT Renewables is looking for an ESG Consultant to support a our IT client in delivering on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments for a multi-year public sector client.

This role is all about ensuring ESG compliance, driving continuous improvement, and building strong stakeholder relationships - a chance to make a real impact in a high-profile programme.

• Act as the primary ESG liaison between client, vendors, and the client.
• Assess and monitor supplier ESG commitments against agreed standards
• Develop and deliver ESG action plans, KPIs, and reporting frameworks
• Track and report progress against ESG objectives, ensuring audit-ready evidence
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across ESG performance

About you:

• Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs)
• Background in public sector or consultancy projects (preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Understanding of supply chain ESG, governance, and audit processes
• Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Social Policy or equivalent
