Job summary

Eque2 is seeking a Business Consultant – Data Migration to lead ERP data migration workstreams for Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations in Maidenhead. You will oversee data discovery, cleansing, mapping, transformation, testing and live cutover, ensuring accuracy and control.

The role involves working with customers, project managers and consultants, using templates and AI tools to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data migration within ERP, finance software or business systems.
• Experience extracting, cleansing, mapping, transforming, validating and migrating data between systems.
• Good understanding of finance data including COA, customers, suppliers and GL openings.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV for finance data migration.
• Experience reconciling migrated data against source records and resolving discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups and data validation.
• Experience working with customers to obtain data and coordinate preparation activities.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the data migration workstream from discovery to live migration and post-go-live support.
• Define migration approach, scope, timelines, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• Review legacy data for structure, completeness, accuracy, and risks.
• Map legacy data to Business Central structures and transform for import.
• Prepare and migrate finance data including COA, open balances, and balances.
• Collaborate with customers to cleanse data and assign preparation responsibilities.
• Use tools and templates to extract, manipulate, validate and import data.
• Perform repeatable test migrations and refine mappings before cutover.
• Validate migrated data against source records and reconcile discrepancies.
• Execute live migrations per plan with security and rollback procedures.
• Present results to customers and obtain formal sign-off on data quality.
• Manage risks, issues, and documentation; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Apply AI tools for profiling, anomaly detection and mapping suggestions with human review.
• Develop reusable templates and processes to improve future migrations.
• Provide post-go-live support for data discrepancies and outstanding activities.
