Job summary

Spectrum IT is seeking an Oracle ERP Application Analyst in Southampton on a permanent basis. The role focuses on Oracle Financials with responsibilities across General Ledger, AP, AR and Fixed Assets, while supporting migration from Navision to Oracle across EMEA.

You will join a team delivering defined support and project tasks, building ERP knowledge in a collaborative, office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Some relevant systems, application or ERP experience; eager to develop Oracle expertise.
• Comfortable with learning new systems, gathering information, following established processes and documenting work.
• Able to work with both technical teams and business users; manage defined tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support and configure Oracle ERP applications.
• Investigate and resolve application issues.
• Gather and document business requirements.
• Contribute to basic functional solution design.
• Create test plans, test cases and document results.
• Test system changes, customisations and developments.
• Support escalated ERP issues from the helpdesk.
• Work with Finance and other business teams across EMEA.
• Contribute to ERP projects and process improvements.
• Gain exposure to migrating Navision sites onto Oracle.

Want to build a career in Oracle ERP rather than simply support systems from the sidelines?

This role gives you the chance to develop hands‑on Oracle Finance experience while helping an international business move more of its EMEA operations from Navision to Oracle.

The opportunity

You will join an established Oracle applications team supporting sites across EMEA.

The role is primarily focused on Oracle Financials, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets. You will also be involved in the longer‑term transition of existing Navision sites onto Oracle.

This is a Level 1 role, so you are not expected to arrive as an Oracle expert. You will work alongside more experienced colleagues, taking on defined support and project tasks while building your functional ERP knowledge.

What you will work on

You will:

• Support and configure Oracle ERP applications

We are looking for someone with some relevant systems, application or ERP experience who wants to develop further within Oracle.

You should be comfortable with:

• Managing defined tasks and priorities

The Level 1 role is designed around completing well‑defined work, solving problems of a basic scope and developing technical capability with support from more experienced colleagues.

Useful, but not essential

Any exposure to the following would be helpful:

• Oracle applications
• ERP systems
• Finance processes
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Fixed Assets
• Application support
• Software or system testing
• Microsoft Excel and data analysis

You do not need to have all of these. The opportunity is suited to someone who already has a foundation in business systems or applications and wants to build deeper Oracle ERP experience.
