Job description

A newly created ER Specialist role is now available at an international insurance provider based in the City of London. This is a brand new role and as such will enable the successful candidate to really put their own spin and mark on the position. You will be joining a business that has over 4000 staff globally and a highly collegiate HR team with a great culture.

The role has been created as the company has a new CPO who is making the HR function much more proactive and a true HRBP model. As such, this role will be taking the ER elements off the HRBPs in order to allow them to truly business partner.

The purpose of the role is to partner with the CPO, HR, and the business on all employee relations matters, providing specialist employee relations, employment law, and change management advice and guidance. Additionally, the role will undertake a review of all policies and ways of working through an ER lens in order to update and modernise them. The role itself will also take a proactive approach in upskilling and training line managers in how to prevent and address ER matters.

The perfect candidate will be either a) an Employment Lawyer/Solicitor looking for their first in-house role or b) a pure ER specialist. It is essential that candidates have a legal degree as well. This person will be proactive, strategic, and able to upskill managers on ER matters, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Financial Services experience is highly desirable, as is experience of working in a global matrix business.

If you have a passion for ER and feel you’d be a great match for this role, then apply ASAP!
