A leading vehicle remarketing company in the UK seeks an ER & Change Lead to manage complex employee relations cases. This role offers a hybrid working environment, requiring travel at least twice a week. Hybrid – Regional travel a minimum of 2 days a week
£50,000 - £55,000 plus up to 15% bonus
40 hours per week Monday – Friday

We’re looking for an ER & Change Lead to join our team, reporting directly to the HR Director. In this role, you’ll work flexibly across a variety of people-focused change projects, playing a key part in shaping and delivering initiatives that drive real impact across the business. You’ll lead on complex, high-risk, or high-profile employee relations cases, providing expert guidance and ensuring best practice. As the guardian of BCA UK’s change programme and ER frameworks, you’ll own and evolve our policies, processes, tools, and templates—mitigating risk and ensuring ongoing compliance with employment law.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist employee relations case management support in complex, high risk or high-profile cases that have been escalated, providing balanced advice that manages risk but drives end results that are commercially sound and appropriate to the business and our company values
Work in collaboration with HR Business Partners to deliver a range of different people impacting change projects
Review the change programme activity, flagging any risks or concerns to the HR Director, e.g. multiple change projects proposed at the same time, HR1 requirements
Review ER casework reports including disciplinary, appeal, grievance, flexible working and sickness to identify trends, opportunities and risks across BCA UK
Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and review company policies and procedures to ensure the business is compliant and up to date with the latest requirements and upskill the HR team on changes as and when required
Review ER and Change toolkits and update as necessary
Manage all early conciliation, employment tribunal claims and settlement agreements utilising our legal support team
Manage third party relationships and costs as requested, e.g. Legal & Occupational Health
Lead on continuous improvements across BCA UK ER and change activity
In collaboration with CoEs, ensure, where appropriate change activity and HR priorities are aligned
In collaboration with HR Business Partners, Senior HR Advisors and L&D, facilitate training programmes as required to support colleague change and ER development initiatives
Line manage one direct report
Key Skills
Extensive knowledge of HR principles, practices and employment law
CIPD qualified, working towards or willing to work towards
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive, resilient and solution focussed
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365
Data analysis skills
Desirable
Project management experience
Experience working in a matrix or complex organisational structure
Commercial acumen and solid understanding of business operations
