Job Description:
- Lead a team of 8 full-time employees across Stock Lending Settlements, Cash Equity Settlements, and Income Operations.
- Act as the local line manager for all team members, responsible for handling escalations, managing office-based working arrangements, and overseeing daily resourcing and coverage.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by implementing cross-training programs to build multi-functional expertise and operational resilience.
- Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day management of settlement functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing across global markets.
- Oversee unmatched trade processing, pre-matching, and fail resolution both on and post-settlement date.
- Investigate and report on cash and stock reconciliation breaks to Control and Regulatory Reporting teams.
- Ensure compliance with Client Money rules and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to drive operational improvements.
- Produce and analyze MIS reports, focusing on cancellation volumes and root cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading and developing teams within Equity Operations, with a focus on cross-training and performance management.
- Deep understanding of Cash Equity and Stock Lending Settlements across international markets.
- Strong knowledge of the full trade and transaction lifecycle, including associated risks and controls.
- Working knowledge of Swift, Easyway, Citi velocity, CREST, Gloss, ALERT, and Global One preferred.
- Familiarity with ICSD settlement mechanics and the T2S platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with global stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
