The Equity Reward practice at KPMG is a dedicated national team that advises on the design, tax, market practice, and accounting aspects of management and broader employee equity incentive structures.

Within KPMG’s Equity Reward team, we advise both privately owned, listed, UK, and global clients. Our advice includes:

  1. The design and structuring of new incentive plans;
  2. Reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose;
  3. Supporting clients on the ongoing operation of existing incentive plans, including tax, tax reporting, and legal support;
  4. Advising on the impact of corporate transactions on incentive plans.

Our extensive KPMG global networks enable us to support clients operating global share plans.

The successful applicant will be involved in business development activities, including client proposals, presentations, and writing articles on technical matters.

The team seeks individuals experienced in advising on tax and legal aspects of incentive arrangements, focusing on design, implementation, and tax advisory, with opportunities to work across other streams within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ideally, a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA/CTA or solicitor); relevant experience considered if not qualified
  • Project and financial management skills, including planning and monitoring
  • Effective time management, initiative, and composure under pressure
  • Leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
  • Ability to identify and manage risks, knowing when to escalate
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Experience and Background:

The successful applicant will be an established share plans specialist with skills or experience in:

  • UK tax and legal issues related to long-term and equity-based incentives, especially with private companies/private equity
  • Drafting legal documents, employee communications, and technical advice
  • Organizational skills and initiative
  • Experience in professional services delivering high-quality technical advice or industry demonstrating ambition to transition into professional services
