We are seeking a talented individual to join our Equity Manager Research team at Mercer. This role will be based in London. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

The Equity Manager Researcher will work within Mercer’s London office, actively contributing to the equity manager research efforts, meeting with asset managers, and providing insights on their investment capabilities.

We are looking for someone with proven equity manager research experience to join our dynamic global research group.

Responsibilities include:

1. Coordinating with external investment management firms to research specific strategies
2. Conducting due diligence meetings with investment managers
3. Drafting research documents outlining strengths and weaknesses and making recommendations
4. Supporting views with quantitative and qualitative analysis
5. Collaborating with colleagues to reach conclusions and meet client needs
6. Representing our research process and recommendations externally and internally
7. Contributing to other equity-related research projects

Requirements:

• Experience in equity manager research
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Technical skills and understanding of statistical models
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic

Preferred:

• Coding skills or experience
• Experience with both quant and fundamental fund managers
• Report writing experience, especially on evaluating fund managers
