Job description

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Lead

Lead the way in EDI&B join DHU Healthcare as our new EDI&B Lead.

Work Pattern: 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be an advocate for an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. By championing diversity and implementing inclusive initiatives, you will play a vital role in creating a workplace where all employees thrive and succeed.

Job responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Organisation Development and Director of People & Organisational Development in managing and developing the EDI&B strategy.
  • Collaborate with leaders and the People & Culture team to review and improve EDI&B practices.
  • Act as a key contact for EDI&B-related support and guidance for staff.
  • Help develop inclusive policies and practices across the organisation.
  • Coordinate Employee-Led Network reps for the EDI&B Steering Committee and promote network Champions with the Wellbeing Lead.
  • Analyse EDI&B data and prepare reports/presentations for leadership and external partners (e.g., W-RES, W-DES).
  • Liaise between staff, leadership, and external partners to align with EDI&B goals and support audits/assessments.
  • Plan and deliver EDI&B training, workshops, and events for all staff levels.
  • Work with Comms to create internal/external EDI&B content (emails, website, social media).
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, attending meetings as needed.
  • Drive immediate improvements in EDI&B practices and identify/address data or knowledge gaps.
  • Stay up to date on EDI&B trends and best practices.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and delivering Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDI&B) initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and best practices related to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Proven track record of working within EDI&B-focused roles or projects.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive and implement inclusive initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in interpreting EDI&B data and producing clear, insightful reports.
  • Passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, with a strong commitment to fostering positive cultural and organisational change.
  • Up-to-date understanding of relevant legal frameworks and current EDI&B trends and standards.
  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Sociology, Business Studies, or a related field; EDI&B or HR-specific training and development courses.
  • Right to work in the UK.
