Job summary

Selby Jennings client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, seeks a Production Support Engineer focused on equities. You will support PMs and senior traders while maintaining and enhancing front-, middle-, and back-office equities systems, delivering technical solutions to automate, streamline, and integrate the trading platform.

The role requires 3-5+ years on an equities desk, deep knowledge of equity products, and production-environment experience within ITIL and agile settings.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience supporting an equities investment/trading desk.
• Solid understanding of equity products, e.g. cash equities, futures, options.
• Experience in production environments within ITIL and agile development.
• Scripting in Python and/or PowerShell for support purposes.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs and senior traders across front-, middle-, and back-office systems.
• Maintain and enhance the firm's Equity front, middle and back-office platforms.
• Collaborate with the global Production Engineering team.
• Proactively engage with PMs, traders, and analysts to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Deliver technical solutions to automate, streamline and integrate using Python, SQL.
• Document common issues and procedures on Confluence.
• Explore AI-based solutions to improve operational efficiency.
