Sunbelt Rentals UK is seeking a Workshop Assistant to support our Test & Calibration team. You will convert hire orders to contracts, prepare documentation, and manage stock with careful attention to packing, shipping, and accuracy.

You will maintain equipment, assist with delivering and receiving items, and help provide an excellent customer experience in a professional, fast-paced environment. Driving duties may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position.
• Experience maintaining relevant equipment in a workshop environment.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Full clean Driving Licence is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Convert new hire orders to hire contracts by picking, checking and packing items for despatch.
• Prepare pre-hire documentation including hire contracts and manuals/certificates.
• Create courier waybills and manifests for shipping documentation.
• Inspect returned goods for damages or missing items.
• Clean equipment before and after hire.
• Load and unload vans.
• Maintain stock levels of spares and accessories.
• Handle goods inwards and distribute materials to relevant departments.
• Provide staff and customer support to ensure excellent service in a B2B environment.
• Use hire software and scheduling tools.
• Occasionally deliver urgent orders by company van.
• Ensure good housekeeping and compliance with H&S and quality policies.
