Job summary

Wolviston Management Services seeks an Equipment Technician to maintain and support complex manufacturing equipment, ensuring reliability and availability to meet production targets.

You will work with production and process engineering, delivering technical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced environment. Strong fault-finding, PLC understanding, and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in engineering.
• Minimum three years' post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
• Experience producing or working with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose equipment faults and respond to breakdowns.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and equipment optimisation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to equipment engineering KPIs (reliability, availability).
• Assist root cause investigations and 8D activities.
