About the role
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an Equipment Technician to join our established Equipment Maintenance Team based in Trowbridge.
This is a great opportunity to join a team where you can make a difference by ensuring operational equipment is maintained and ready for use by operational firefighting crews.
Full training will be provided on equipment such as breathing apparatus, gas tight suits, life jackets, fire extinguishers, helmets, working at height equipment, and vehicle stabilisation equipment. If you have a background in engineering or working on plant/gardening machinery, this may be a great role for you. Some courses may require staying away, but notice will be provided.
The role also involves assisting with the delivery and collection of vehicles across the County, including white fleet and fire engines. Applicants need a Category C Licence; if you do not currently hold this, we encourage you to apply, and we can consider putting you through a course as this is an essential requirement.
If this role matches your skills or transferable skills, we encourage you to complete the application form.
To request a visit to the Trowbridge Workshop, please contact Tom using the details above.
