Equipment Support Engineer – Remote (+ Travel) – Subsea / Offshore Engineering - £40k to £55k

A leading company in the subsea and offshore sector is seeking an Equipment Support Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of subsea assets while working within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Assets Manager, the Equipment Support Engineer (ESE) is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of allocated subsea vehicles, maintaining compliance with HSEQ Management Systems, and proactively managing equipment to meet or exceed customer expectations within defined budgets.

Location: WFH Contract (Up to 90 days Travel)

Industry: Wind & Renewables

Salary: £40k to £55k + Travel Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Assets Manager to define the scope, vision, and structure of asset management.
  • Provide support to offshore teams for fault finding, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Deliver on operational KPIs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to asset budgeting and ensure adherence to financial parameters.
  • Maintain and update all technical and support documentation.
  • Ensure all certifications remain up to date and communicate renewal requirements.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and defect reports.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and system failures.
  • Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with company processes and procedures.
  • Prepare reports analysing product failure trends and service issues.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support supply chain functions by assisting in supplier selection and budget pricing.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Promote and actively engage in HSEQ systems within offshore teams.
  • Report any HSEQ issues or incidents using company processes.
  • Participate in vessel safety meetings and inspections.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of offshore experience in trenching, geotechnical drilling, or ROV operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of offshore experience working with subsea assets in an offshore capacity.
  • Background in supervisory or technical roles related to offshore subsea operations.
  • Valid BOSIET, MIST & OGUK Medical certifications.
  • Strong PC literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the project team.
