Job summary

Nixon Hire is seeking a proactive Equipment Sales professional to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You’ll deliver excellent customer service, build relationships, and drive sales while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, on site or at a depot.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, delivering outstanding service.
• Identify customer needs and ensure correct equipment is available, quoted, and delivered on time.
• Maintain records, follow up on enquiries, and convert opportunities into sales.
• Develop product knowledge and offer practical solutions to customers.
• Work with logistics and procurement teams for smooth transactions.
• Adhere to company policies and health, safety and quality standards.
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive, adaptable, and dynamic individual to join our Equipment Sales team. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment, think on your feet, and adapt quickly when priorities change. While experience in construction or a similar role is an advantage, it’s not essential- we place greater value on attitude, flexibility, and resilience.

In this role, you’ll be the face of the Equipment Sales team, delivering excellent customer service, building strong relationships, and driving sales performance. You’ll respond swiftly to customer enquiries, ensure the timely delivery of equipment, and make every opportunity count, all while working safely and in line with Company standards and values.

• Identify customer needs and ensure the correct equipment is available, quoted, and delivered on time.
• Maintain accurate records, follow up on enquiries, and convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
• Develop strong product knowledge and offer innovative, practical solutions to customers.
• Work closely with logistics and procurement teams to ensure smooth, efficient transactions.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures and consistently uphold the Nixon Hire Values.
• Follow Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) processes to maintain compliance at all times.
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.
