Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd in Cannock is seeking a New Equipment Preparation Engineer to join our flagship preparation workshop. You will prepare and ready a range of Caterpillar machines for Finning customers, supporting major infrastructure projects and working to high safety and quality standards.

Your duties include completing pre-work health and safety documentation, performing safe pre-delivery preparation and customization, keeping the workshop clean, and following standard work instructions.

Qualifications

NVQ/City and Guilds or equivalent in land-based service engineering.
Foundational mechanical and electrical knowledge with a hands-on background.
Experience with heavy machinery maintenance or repair is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Complete health and safety pre-work documentation and liaise with the customer service team for best customer experience.
Perform safe pre-delivery preparation and customization of earthmoving equipment, attachments and components.
Complete daily prep tasks following standard work instructions to high standards.
Keep the workshop and work area clean and safe per CAT guidelines.
