Qualifications

  • Experience with heavy weapons like 105 Light Gun or AS90 preferred.
  • IMS experience necessary.

Job description

Ensure our warehouse runs efficiently – your expertise in mechanical equipment can keep everything in perfect working order.

Your Role

This role is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, investigation, examination, and conditioning of mechanical equipment and associated sub-assemblies at KNGD Donnington.

Your Responsibilities
  • Be an ambassador for safety at all times.
  • Report all accidents to the team leader and line manager as required.
  • Understand and implement risk assessments and risk controls, including identifying risks.
  • Comply with all safe working practices and report all accidents and incidents within the workplace.
  • Participate in and contribute to work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process updates.
  • Ensure all work is conducted according to approved data and procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and respond constructively to requests from internal departments.
  • Handle the day-to-day processing of work orders.
  • Work within current policies, processes, procedures, and management guidance.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve required outcomes.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working on MOD equipment (preferred).
  • Experience with heavy weapons, such as 105 Light Gun or AS90 (preferred).
  • IMS experience.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts successfully.
  • Knowledge of health and safety at work.
  • Experience working towards targets.
  • Intermediate PC skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
