A fast-growing company at the forefront of next-generation semiconductor technologies is looking for a talented Equipment Engineer to support the development and maintenance of advanced systems within a cleanroom environment. This role is critical in ensuring smooth operations across both research and production functions. You’ll play a key part in sustaining, upgrading, and scaling infrastructure as the organisation continues to expand its high-tech manufacturing capabilities.
Lead initiatives to expand and enhance cleanroom capabilities aligned with evolving research and manufacturing needs.
Manage end-to-end equipment upgrade projects, from planning through to deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults, delivering both reactive and preventative solutions.
Implement strategies to improve tool reliability and production scalability.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance protocols, including technical documentation.
Establish robust troubleshooting processes to minimize equipment downtime.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new tools and systems.
Perform ongoing maintenance of critical facility equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Support cleanroom improvement plans in response to changing priorities or capacity requirements.
Previous experience in a similar engineering role, preferably in semiconductor or chemical processing environments. Familiarity with wet etch processes is advantageous.
Well-versed in both mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Degree, HND, or equivalent practical experience in engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining and supporting complex technical equipment.
Comfortable delivering guidance and technical instruction to frontline teams.
Background in fluid dynamics or thermal systems would be a plus.
A forklift certification is desirable but not essential.
