Role

As an Equipment and Stores Operative, you’ll play a key role in supporting military training and resource management. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that ensures the smooth delivery of Combat Engineering support services helping to prepare equipment, maintain supplies, and contribute to the success of vital training exercises.

This is a hands-on, physically active role where your work directly supports national defence. It’s a great opportunity to build a meaningful career in defence, aerospace and engineering, while developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be
  • Issuing and receiving equipment, maintaining supplies, and supporting Combat Engineers during training
  • Transporting, erecting, and dismantling equipment for exercises
  • Carrying out sentry duties and watermanship safety tasks
  • Supporting resource management services such as snow and ice clearance, damage control, and porterage
  • Performing technical maintenance and preparing for audits and inspections

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at RSME Minley. Typically, you’ll work Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. Any work outside of these hours is considered overtime and is paid at enhanced rates.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
