Overview

Equipment and Material Handler for heavylift and transport projects.

  • Salary £28,000 per annum, depending on experience (£13.81 per hour)
  • 39 Hours per week with regular overtime available. Working at our site in Hixon, Staffordshire

Do you enjoy getting hands-on with heavy equipment? Keeping our yards tidy and organized is critical to maintaining our specialist fleet. As an Equipment and Material Handler you will be responsible for making sure this happens to a high standard. Based at our Hixon depot, this is a full time, permanent role reporting into our Yard Manager.

What you’ll be doing
  • Prepare auxiliary equipment to be sent to project sites.
  • Prepare lifting equipment for crane hire.
  • Assemble lifting beams.
  • Maintenance / housekeeping of the yard.
  • Clean and maintain jacking equipment.
  • Deliver and pick-up third-party equipment.
  • Load and offload trucks by the use of cranes and forklifts.
  • Record all maintenance logs accurately (manual and electronic).
  • Follow all standard operation procedures in line with health and safety standards.
What you’ll need
  • Excellent attitude towards health and safety.
  • Relevant operating tickets including forklift, MEWP, safety passport, telehandler.
  • Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures.
  • Proven experience of executing basic rigging skills for heavy lift operations would be beneficial.
  • Working at height / manual handling training.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in ICT.
