Job summary

The Vet Service in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Equine Veterinarian to join a well-established mixed veterinary setting with a strong equine caseload and excellent clinical backing. The role offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to manage cases across ambulatory and facility-based equine work.

The position suits an MRCVS-qualified vet confident with equine medicine and keen to develop further in a supportive, progressive clinical environment with a balanced rota and time

Qualifications

• MRCVS registration or eligibility to register.
• Previous equine clinical experience would be highly valued.
• Confidence working independently while knowing when to collaborate.
• A practical, calm, and client-focused approach to veterinary care.
• Strong interest in equine medicine, diagnostics, and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied equine caseload across routine and more involved clinical work
• Carrying out ambulatory visits with access to strong diagnostic support
• Contributing to shared out-of-hours cover with protected recovery time
• Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality patient care
• Using modern equipment to support investigations, treatment planning, and case follow-up
