Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in the UK seeks a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a two-site equine group. You will deliver high-quality patient and client care across ambulatory and hospital settings, with opportunities to develop orthopaedics and equine dentistry skills.

You will work as part of a supportive, experienced team, contributing to clinical discussions and ongoing development while maintaining continuity of care for horses from initial assessment through treatment and follow-up.

Qualifications

• A veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS are essential.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Your workload will include lameness investigations and field service.
• Perform routine and advanced dentistry and dentistry-driven care.
• Conduct vaccinations and preventative healthcare for ambulatory patients.
• Assist with wound management and colic investigations as needed.
• Provide general ambulatory medicine and emergency coverage.

Our caseload is incredibly varied, ranging from elite competition and breeding horses to hunters, leisure horses and much-loved family ponies.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with a keen interest in orthopaedics and equine dentistry, while also enjoying the diversity of ambulatory equine practice.

Your workload will include both routine and emergency ambulatory visits, including:

• Lameness investigations


• Poor performance work-ups


• Routine and advanced dentistry


• Vaccinations and preventative healthcare


• Wound management


• Colic investigations


• Field surgery


• General ambulatory medicine
