Qualifications

  • Previous receptionist experience is essential; veterinary and equine experience is a plus.
  • Experience with horses or equine knowledge is desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management systems.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for horsesto join us as an Equine VeterinaryReceptionist atEndell Equine Hospital.

Location: Salisbury

Contract: Permanent

Hours: We are looking for a full-time and a part-time team memberto join our team (do let us know which position you are looking for on your application)

Part-time hours: 20-30 hours per week, predominantly working afternoons and all day Friday

Full-time hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday between 08.00 – 17.30

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Logistical planning of Vet's diaries
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Dealing with account queries and payments
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we're looking for in our Equine VeterinaryReceptionist:

  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential;veterinary and equine experienceis a plus!
  • Experience with horses or equine knowledge is desired
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload is essential
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with busy and potentiallyemotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
