Job summary

Easton College is seeking an Equine Technician/Trainee to support practical learning at the Equine Centre. The role involves equine husbandry, feeding, mucking out, health monitoring, and assisting teaching staff.

The Trainee path provides training to achieve BHS Stage 2 while working across a busy yard environment. The Technician role requires solid horse-care experience and confident riding, with a flexible, positive attitude suitable for weekends and college holidays on the on-site equine

Qualifications

• Solid practical experience in horse care (including mucking out and feeding).
• Confident riding ability (walk, trot, canter, and jumping).
• A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to support a varied workload.
• A minimum of BHS Stage 2 Complete (or equivalent) for the Technician role.
• For the Trainee position, a vocational qualification, such as a Level 3 Technical Diploma in Equine Management will be required.
• The Trainee position will be fixed term until the candidate achieves their BHS Stage 2.
