Job summary

IVC Evidensia’s Sussex Equine Hospital in Ashington is seeking a Stud Veterinarian to join a Tier 3 hospital with specialists. The role focuses on advanced reproductive techniques, foal care, and a varied equine caseload in a supportive team. Expect a full-time position with weekend rota during the season.

Starting 1st April 2027 on a 12-month FTC, the role offers growth in reproduction, clinical development, and collaboration across departments within a leading veterinary network.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive learning mindset and openness to feedback and development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload.
• Collaborate with the team to support clinical development and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the breeding management program including AI, ET, OPU, and semen work.
• Support foal medicine and youngstock care within the stud role.
